Business Description
John
is an experienced audiobook, documentary and industrial
film narrator. Starting
out 30 years ago as an actor in theatre and film, he
then branched out into commercial and industrial
voiceovers. With
a warm, expressive, lyrical voice that works well in a
wide range of categories, John has the vocal authority
to carry a feature documentary, the seasoned technique
to deliver key information in clear terms in any
industrial copy, and the acting chops to carry both
short-format commercial copy and longer dramatic
narrative.
An
audiobook narrator, John has recorded over a dozen
fiction and non fiction titles for the National Library
Service at Carolina Talking Books, including murder
mysteries, action adventures, romances, and histories.
A skilled character actor, John can juggle a
dizzying array of character types of both sexes.
With a great ear for dialect and the subtleties
of vocal intonation and timbre, and a voice that can
convey extremes of dramatic intensity, John is a great
choice not only to read character comedy and lyrical
romance, but also to read mystery and horror genres.
Above all, John is experienced enough to let the
author speak through him, effectively conveying the
author's perspective in every piece he reads, regardless
of genre.
As
a voiceover artist, John has worked in a wide range of
areas, including educational documentary, computer game
character voicing, corporate training video, and
character voices for commercial and industrial copy.
